A forthcoming bathroom renovation for a residential building at Coolum, designed to enhance both functionality and visual cohesion within a high-use coastal setting.

The design direction draws inspiration from Mediterranean architecture, responding to the character of the building while introducing a contemporary interpretation. Terracotta-toned subway tiles were specified as a key material element—referencing traditional Mediterranean colour and warmth, while the clean-lined subway format modernises the space and ensures longevity.

The brief required a careful balance of durability, compliance and refinement. Materials and finishes were selected for their performance in a commercial environment, alongside their ability to create an inviting and elevated guest experience. Texture and tone were layered to achieve a space that feels considered, warm and resilient.

This project is currently in the design phase. Construction is yet to commence, with further imagery to be shared as the build progresses.
